Emergency Medicine: Site Evaluation

I had two site evaluations with Professor Mohamed over Zoom with three of my colleagues. For my site evaluation, I submitted three H&P and a journal article. For my first site evaluation, I presented a case about a patient who had come into the emergency department two days after having a cardiac angiogram, with the symptoms of stroke that began right after the cardiac angiogram, because the patient’s symptoms of stroke began two days ago the patient was not eligible for tPA. Professor Mohamed’s feedback for the first site evaluation was that I had a good succulent HPI, good differential diagnosis, and a good treatment plan. He provided feedback that in the future to include a more detailed neuro-exam, and write “Aox3”, instead of stating “patient is alert”.

For my 2nd site evaluation, I presented a case of a patient presenting to the ED with severe flank pain, who had kidney stones. Professor Muhammed commented that I had a good succinct HPI, good differential, and did the right thing in consulting urology, and had a proper disposition plan for the patient. The feedback he provided for this H&P is to get the time of when the pain started, and renal colic description of the pain as well.
